Pokémon GO is the new mobile game for Android and iPhone developed by The Pokémon Company and Niantic that has been sweeping the nation in the last week with over 25 million registered users. The game features augmented-reality that allows players to use their smartphone camera to catch Pokémon in real live places. For example, players are able to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, sidewalks, shopping malls and even the country side.
Pokémon GO has quickly become the largest mobile game ever! Within the first four days after its debut in the United States 10.81% of smartphone users were playing daily. As of July 8th, Pokémon GO was being played on average of 43 minutes and 23 seconds a day.
RB headquarters has a “PokéStop” right outside and employees have thus been gaining experience and items in game very quickly during break hours! Here is a picture of our team enjoying the PokéStop outside of our headquarters.
