Hearth & Pool Services: Pool Service Software Case Study
The RB software and excellent team support have enhanced my business operations and customer experience beyond any comparison.
– Mark Sweeney, Owner, Hearth and Pool Services
What prompted you to invest in RB’s point of sale software? What were your goals in adopting this software?
After using other contact databases, I realized that I needed a program that included point of sale and inventory all in one. Plus, at that time, we were servicing around 75 pools a week and the revolving service was another thing that I wanted to know more about. RB had all of this and the capability to use iPad devices in the field that updated immediately. Every question I asked them about they said yes to, so we set a date and took a tour and were impressed.
What was your initial experience like with RB when you first launched the software?
We used a practice company for a while [to learn] before we launched but the initial launch went very smoothly and the in house support was phenomenal. There is a learning curve for sure and my service guys were really leery at first, but they came around.
How has RB benefitted your business (think: employees, customers, bottom line, etc)?
We have benefitted from RB in many ways. The documentation and image portals are fantastic. We are faster and able to find serial numbers easily. Creating POs and receiving and inventory is very nice. I’ve even used the marketing tool a couple of times for sales etc. which is also very nice.
Have you tried other point of sale softwares in the past? What makes RB’s software unique?
The all-in-one along with revolving service makes it very unique. Inventory reports all the way to creating mailing labels for mail outs.
What method were you using prior to RB to manage your business operations? How would you compare then and now?
We used separate database management and inventory systems. No comparison; RB is much better, again, because of the all-in-one aspect.
What do your employees have to say about RB’s software?
We mostly have new younger employees and they embrace RB with high regard. My son-in-law is about to take the company over and he is a computer tech and really likes and uses the program to the max.
